Amy Denny is the Controller and Director of Tax at Dubin & Company. Prior to joining Dubin & Company in 2022, Ms. Denny was a Managing Director and the Global Head of Tax at Perella Weinberg Partners, a global financial services firm.
At PWP, she was responsible for tax matters related to various firmwide restructuring initiatives, including the spin-off of certain funds in the asset management business, an expansion of the advisory practice into the European market, and an initial public offering of the advisory practice. Prior to that, Ms. Denny was a Co-Head of Tax at Och-Ziff Capital Management, a global publicly-traded alternative asset management firm.
Her role at Och-Ziff was inclusive of fund related tax matters, both transactional and compliance, as well as management company and public company tax matters, including a recapitalization of the firm in 2019. Ms. Denny started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the tax practice, where she served clients in a range of industries, most recently in asset management with a focus on real estate and private equity funds.
Ms. Denny graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
